Your credentials grow into a little garden: warm cream centres held in intertwined branch and vine frames, meadow bases and sunshine stars. Each issuer keeps its own logo and recognizable badge shape. A simple vine grows into a woody frame with climbing foliage, then a lush canopy and a full flowering border as difficulty increases. These are Certelva interpretations; you can always open the original issuer record from your cert wall.
The border grows with the same difficulty estimate as the stars: foundational seedlings become associate sprouts, intermediate saplings, professional leafy trees and expert flowering trees. Forked branches grow from a small trunk, carrying an uneven mix of broad, slender, rounded and lobed leaves. Each credential has its own arrangement, with more foliage and varied blossoms as difficulty increases. Unrated credentials keep a plain patch until their difficulty is established.

From the first leaves to a garden in bloom. Four-star holograms reveal leaves, sprigs and buds; five-star holograms mix leafy foliage with daisies, blossoms, petals and sparkling pollen. What the stars mean
Every certification in the catalog has a one-to-five-star estimate, including retired exams kept for credential history. Open a certification’s difficulty explanation to see its reasoning, confidence and official references. Provisional estimates use the certification title and role scope and still need an individual exam review. Provider guidance, prerequisites and practical assessment requirements help refine the rating; we do not turn unverified pass-rate claims into scores.
Stars are Certelva’s estimate of exam scope, practical problem solving and expected background. A vendor’s title does not determine the rating: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), for example, earns three stars for its breadth of administration and troubleshooting. They are not an official vendor rating, a pass rate, or a prediction of how hard you personally will find an exam. Price and popularity do not determine difficulty. For unmatched credentials from supported issuers, an explicit certification level in the title may provide a provisional estimate.

One star covers introductory concepts; two covers entry-level applied skills; three covers broad practitioner work; four covers advanced professional scenarios; and five covers expert depth or substantial professional qualifications. Ratings can change as exam scope is reviewed. Unmatched courses, ambassador awards and credentials without an established level stay unrated. An issuer-record import earns 100 XP while unrated; self-reported entries earn no credential XP. Previously awarded XP is retained. Linking the same credential again does not award XP again.
Achievements that scale with difficulty
Each distinct, active issuer-record certification adds its difficulty stars to your collection. A five-star certification contributes five times as much as a one-star certification. Renewals and duplicate imports of the same catalog certification count once. Expired, revoked, unrated and self-reported entries do not contribute. Earned milestones remain in your history.
